Of all the billions of dollars that Berkshire Hathaway has invested, it only hold shares in 46 publicly listed companies in the U.S.. The make-up of its portfolio are from the traditional companies, pharmaceutical to technology.
Warren Buffett previously has rarely invested in technology companies but currently, this sector is a major portion of its portfolio with Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) being the largest holding in terms of market value. Although he has reduced its Apple share holding slightly but it is clear its overall holdings have barely changed.
If you look at Berkshire Hathaway’s overall portfolio holdings between the two latest quarterly filings (December 31, 2020 and March 31, 2021), it is clear Warren has not significantly bought into the market since end of 2020.
